Run your computer from your phone.

Remote Command is a step by step guide that sets up your Claude phone app to work on the computer sitting at home. It takes 30 to 60 minutes the first time, and you only do it once.

What it does

You type a message to Claude on your phone. Claude does the work on your computer at home. It can find files, make files, open programs, and tell you what’s on your screen.

Say you’re out and you need a file off your desktop. You ask for it on your phone, and Claude finds it and shows it to you right there.

What you get

You get a PDF guide with 5 steps, in order, and a screenshot where you need one.

  1. Get the Claude program on your computer.
  2. Keep your computer awake.
  3. Turn on screen control.
  4. Make your remote chat.
  5. Test it from your phone.

Every step ends with a line that starts “You’ll know it worked when,” so you never wonder if you did it right. You also get a fix-it table for the most common problems, a safety checklist, a quick reference card, and an optional power-up if you want more.

I wrote it so a 10 year old or an 80 year old can follow it.

What you need

  • You need a paid Claude plan. The free plan can’t do this.
  • You need a Windows PC, or a Mac running macOS 14 or newer. Chromebooks and Linux computers won’t work.
  • You need the Claude app on your phone or tablet.
  • You need to know your computer’s password, the one it asks for when you install a new program.
  • You need the computer to stay at home, plugged in and turned on. The remote only works while it’s on.

What it can and can’t do

It can see, find, open, make, and organize files in the folders you give it. It can open and use everyday programs like Word, Excel, File Explorer, and Finder. It can take a picture of your screen and tell you what’s on it, and it can show you the files it makes, right on your phone.

It can’t do anything while the computer is asleep, turned off, or has Claude closed. It can look at web browsers like Chrome, Edge, and Safari but it can’t click inside them, so for website jobs it uses Claude’s own built-in browser. It can’t run on Chromebooks or Linux computers.

You pay, you land on a download page with the PDF, and the same link is in your receipt. If it isn’t what I told you it was, email me inside 7 days and you get your money back. Members of The Paid Path room pay for Remote Command separately, because it doesn’t come with the membership.

Everything in the guide was checked in October 2026. Anthropic updates Claude often, so a button name or a menu spot may move. When something doesn’t match, look for the same words nearby. You decide what Claude is allowed to do on your computer, so follow the safety checklist.
